What is the Edenbridge and District Twinning Association?
It is an agency of the Edenbridge Town Council. The Association was formed
over 30 years ago “to promote friendship and understanding” between the people
of Edenbridge, Kent and its surrounding villages and the people of Mont Saint Aignan
in Normandy, France. A copy of the original charter signed by the Mayor of
Mont Saint Aignan and the Chairman of the Edenbrldge Town Council hangs in the
Council Chamber in Doggetts Barn.
What does the Edenbridge and District Twinning Association do?
It arranges exchange visits between the two towns twice a year. During
exchange visits we always stay with French families and it does not matter if
you do not speak French! The Association also encourages and assists local
organisations to make their own exchange visits and examples of these include
the Forge Singers and the Town Band, both of whom have now created their own
links.
Together with the French organising committee we arrange exchanges for
individuals who wish to find work experience in France.

Who is the Edenbridge and District Twinning Association?
You or anyone who wants to get involved. There are no barriers - families with
young children or individuals of any age. It is open to anyone who lives in
the area, or friends or relatives from further afield.
There are no subscription fees and everyone is welcome. As a resident of
Edenbridge or one of the neighbouring villages you are already a member of the
Twinning Association.
